What it Takes to Lose Weight
People talk about losing weight as if it’s a walk in the park. Whether you’re discussing with family, friends, or having a long and hard look at yourself in the mirror, the decision to do something about is often impulsive and poorly thought through.
While it’s admirable to see anyone try and lose weight, it does need planning and a lot of hard work. Until now, that is. EKCL is quick, easy and effective obesity treatment. Using cutting-edge software and principles of electrotherapy, we get to the root of your obesity issue. We’re also mobile, which means we bring treatment to you.
It’s essentially easy weight loss, completely scientifically proven and incredibly effective. Despite our service taking a lot of the hard work out of weight loss, it’s still a process that requires a lot of determination and thought. With that being said, here are eight things you need to do to lose weight.
1- Don’t Skip Breakfast
Everyone thinks weight loss comes from cutting out meals – this isn’t the case. Breakfast is an essential meal that prepares you for the day ahead. If you bypass it, you’re only missing out on the vital nutrients and energy needed to get you through the day. This will only make you hungrier later on, and much more likely to snack between meals.
2- Eat Regular Meals
When trying to quit or abstain from something, self-discipline is key. The best way to instil discipline? A routine. In a weight-loss context, one way to do this is by sticking to regular meals. This helps burn calories at a faster rate and will prevent you from snacking on foods high in fat and sugar.
It’s no secret: exercise is essential if you want to lose weight. Diets and food programs can’t do it alone. You need to keep yourself active to burn off the excess calories you’re unable to lose from dieting. Exercise also adds structure and gives people purpose. Once you’ve done some physical activity, you’ll feel far less guilty about eating.
4- Read Food Labels
Yes, people do actually read these. If you’re unhappy with your weight, eating healthy is, of course, what you need to do. But sometimes, some foods are not as healthy as they seem – or promise to be. By checking the food labels, you can identify what foods are good and which ones you need to avoid. In simple terms, avoid the colour red; yellow is okay in regulation and green is a good sign.
5- Downgrade Your Plate Size
As well as reducing what’s on your plate, making your plate size smaller is also a great way to cut down on carbs and general food intake. By using a reduced plate size, your portions will gradually get smaller and you’ll start to notice you don’t require as much food to satisfy your appetite. Small changes like these make a big difference in the long run.
6- Avoid Banning Foods
You may think the best thing to do is cut out your favourite foods altogether. Unfortunately, it’s not as simple as that. Your guilty pleasures – more often than not high calorie foods – are usually a big reason why you are overweight. Cutting them out, however, will only make you crave them even more. It’ll be hard to resist and it’s likely you’ll end up giving in and eating excess amounts.
Everything is fine within regulation. When you’re on a weight loss journey, it’s important to reward yourself after a successful period of eating healthier. As long as you stay within your daily calorie allowance, a treat is fine.
7- Do Not Stock Junk Food
As hard as it may be to say goodbye to your favourite junk items, you have to leave them behind when trying to lose weight. If you continue to buy and stock unhealthy food, temptation will only get the better of you; don’t give yourself the option. It’s a challenge, but nobody said losing weight was easy.
8- Cut Down on Alcohol
We can’t blame it all on food. Alcohol is also a major contributor to weight issues. You won’t realistically lose any until you accept that. When we start to cut out high calorie foods, it’s just as important that we limit our alcohol intake. Beers and wine are packed full of calories, so cutting them down is crucial.
Weight loss isn’t easy. While we offer an innovative way to tackle obesity, which is quick and simple, the first steps to addressing your issue are what makes it so hard.
